Resursportalen is a organization which works to increase the quality of life for children between the age 0-14 with autism and asperger by offering a portal for resources

Background

Only in Sweden there are over hundred thousand people with a mental or physical disability – with a very little knowledge about their legal rights and possibility to live a normal, happy and independent life.

My family and me have fought a hard battle for my brother’s legal rights and we have experienced how hard it is to find the right information. Because of that he is living a good life today. But many are not as lucky as my brother and that’s why I created Resursportalen.

The Solution

Resursportalen is a portal for resources available for people with mental or physical disabilities. Resursportalen offers and organizes a huge database of information and customizes it for the individual need. The information could be on how to find a local personal assistant, available special aids, free time and sport activities, autism and asperger, sheltered accommodation etc. In one click, Resursportalen will match the individual need, based on the kind of disabilities and location.

Resursportalen is also a meeting place for sharing experiences, discuss and connect with other users. Resursportalen is a swedish platform and website and available and based in Sweden but hopefully in the future we will be able to work internationally.
