Personal Story

My name is Ronit. I was born in Michigan and grew up in Texas. I am an only child to an Israeli dad and American mom. After college in Austin, I moved to Tel Aviv for 2.5 years and then to Detroit. Today I live in New York.

In Tel Aviv, I began freelance writing and working in the arts. Since then, I have continued my work in media and film. In Detroit, I started making my own films. Around 2013, I began combining media and the visual arts and found they blend perfectly together in Honeysuckle, which also pleasantly provides opportunities for other creatives.

Business Description

Honeysuckle is a full production house covering video, online content and quarterly printed and digital issues. Our quarterly issues cover topics such as arts & culture as well as social issues such as race, homelessness and abuse.

For video, we do branded content, commercials, music videos and an upcoming web series.

Our ongoing web content provides a platform for social issues and people dealing with sexuality, gender, mental health and abuse.

We have begun the process of printing and distributing our quarterly issues nationally and have been successful in gaining a some ads.

What is the purpose of this loan?

This loan will help grow the business because I will be able to invest in distribution which will helps us place ads. I can hire people to build content and manage the site and invest in more video equipment to produce cutting edge video content with the amazing creative staff we already have.
